I am a figurative painter inspired by pop culture. The initial inspiration for each painting sparks from discovering an unusual costume or inflatable toy. I look for things that are interesting both aesthetically and conceptually, although it’s difficult to explain exactly why I’m drawn to a particular idea. My paintings are a celebration of the weird and wonderful consumer goods our society has to offer – playing the bright, humorous, mass-produced objects off the sensuality and elegance of the female form.

  1. Wow, I like how you include the female form as I definitely can relate to that when I look at the army piece because I initially thought it was body paint!
