Brisbane-born artist, Lilly Piri, studied fine arts and illustration at the Arts Academy in Morningside, Queensland. In 2007, she left Australia to live and draw in Germany for four years. Since then, she has had three solo exhibitions, the first at Thinkspace Gallery, Los Angeles, followed by solo shows at Bourgeois Pig Gallery in Heidelberg, Germany and Melbourne’s Lamington Drive Gallery. Her work has been in numerous group shows in Australia, the UK, USA and Germany. Some of her clients have included Energy BBDO for Oxfam America, Saatchi and Saatchi, Harper’s Bazaar, Frankie, Poketo and Ironfist clothing. Piri’s work has been featured in Frankie, Yen, Empty, Semi Permanent, Curvy and many other publications. The themes of her drawings focus on correspondence, wonder at flora and fauna, migration, and beauty. They are created with colour pencil, and acrylics. Lilly Piri currently lives and works on the Gold Coast.
