With my current body of work the paintings are to reflect past failed relationships. The lack of communication from my side of the relationship. The bright colours to represent the strength of the women, during these times. The drips and splatters, a sign of destruction, confusion complication. The black background enveloping the subject to signify the relationship falling apart, fading into the past. These paintings at first glance seem beautiful but at closer inspection, they have a haunting presence.
