Maria Nguyen is born Duong Thuy Nguyen, but since only a selected few could pronounce her name, she settled for Maria (though her mom and dad still calls her Duong). Maria was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Kitchener Ontario, Canada. After an unsuccessful attempt at attending university to major in business, she found her self in the illustration program at Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced learning. She’s been happy ever since.
