Born 1982, Shawinigan, Qc, Canada, Alexandra left her country in 2000 to go to Costa Rica, where she did a B.A in Fine Arts and Graphic Design at the University of Costa Rica. Then she pursued her studies with a postgraduate in Illustration at EINA – Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art of Barcelona in 2008.
From 2007 to 2010 she worked as an illustrator and an art director for advertising agencies McCann Erickson and Ogilvy in Costa Rica.
In 2010, she is back in Montreal, where she started working as a freelance illustrator and on her personal projects. She has shown her work in solo exhibitions and selected group exhibitions – in Spain, Canada, Costa Rica and the USA. In 2012, she entered the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema of Concordia University in Montreal, to study Film Animation. Beside her full time studies, she works on her exhibition projects. She is represented by Roccia Gallery, Montreal.
