Growing up in a small Cotswold town instilled a ‘cohabitation’ with nature that has never really left me. Now living and working as an artist in a metropolitan cityscape, I am fascinated by the adaptation of nature within our urban landscapes especially Ornithology. Our 21st century lives focus on ideals of beauty, money and power; we easily forget our coexistence with the rest of the planet.’

Gemma is a contemporary artist with a traditional painter’s dexterity. She works mainly in acrylic on canvas, drawing influence from popular culture, the natural world and religious iconography.
She has been exhibiting her work since graduating in 2008 throughout the UK and internationally.
