Throughout the last few years, I feel the make up industry has seen a huge rise in popularity, with the boundaries of everyday make up being progressively pushed into a new realm.
We are now at a point where make up is an art, and I am happy to be including make up artists alongside the more conventional disciplines of art, photography and illustration.
About my work, I guess it could be considered wearable editorial. It’s mildly unconventional but achievable and comprehensible (for now at least). I love minimalism but I also love complexity, I enjoy playing with colours and shapes or the lack of either. My work showcases the exploration of my own artistic self expression – the mind of a person who enjoys art (but doesn’t consider herself an artist) and who is also woman being perceived in society, tiptoeing on the border of creativity and wearability.
