Myriam Tillson is a French traditional artist and illustrator, based in London, in the UK. She works primarily in watercolour, ink, and gouache, and explores dark and surreal subjects. She uses her work to inquire into our relationships to the world, others, and ourselves, and voluntarily leaves her pieces open to interpretation. It is up to the viewer to understand the work as they wish, and to project their own experiences, points of view and understanding of the world, onto the images she creates. Although very personal, her art also strives to be universal, and to represent common struggles and experiences, to hopefully help unite people who may never before have realised their experiences were shared by others.
