My work is mainly inspired by fairy tales, literature, comics and manga, cartoons and anime, magic and nature. All the Pop Culture became my inspiration to build my own narrative.
My style has been described as “girly nostalgic punk”, I think that is all about the cultural elaboration of the elements of the pop culture I grew up with and my urge to subvert or mock those capitalistic symbols I was surrounded by.
The themes of my artworks are about the passage between childhood and adulthood in a society where kids are marketing targets and where adolescence is stretching. My characters investigate the position of women and human relationships in the modern western society with a playful and childish style.
I am a self-taught artist and I had the great honor to be exhibited in several galleries in Italy and the USA, where my paintings become part of great private collections (you can find my complete cv on my website).
I mainly use acrylic paint on canvas, wood, and masonite.
