My name is Danielle Gross and I am a 22 year-old-self taught illustrator from the Chicago area. Although I studied Advertising and PR at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee, illustration has always held a special place in my heart. I have been drawing and creating for as long as I can remember, but recently began to take illustrating more seriously as I honed my skills in the traditional and digital art worlds to create a combination of both techniques in each piece. As a floral designer in the day I draw a lot of inspiration for my art from the colors and textures of nature that I come across day to day, in which I put towards my whimsical ideas. I often seek the rest of my composition’s inspiration from my emotions, experiences, and dreams. I find that if I can make life sillier by personifying the inanimate, maybe life will be just a bit easier for anyone who looks at it too. I aspire to work as a full time artist selling my prints and paintings and adding whimsy to everything I touch!
