CHARLIE PADGETT

With my illustrations, I work hard to find a fresh perspective and create multi-layered, conceptual work that resonates with the audience long after they have turned the page, left the building and got on with the business of living.I think, it is important for the images I create to have a reason. An idea, a concept. The art needs to tell a story of some kind to make the viewer feel something, otherwise it is simply an image without substance. I feel this is true not only in the editorial work I am hired to create but also in the personal work I create for myself.

My work has been recognized by The American Illustration Awards, The AOI World Illustration Awards, the American Advertising Federation, the Independent Publisher Awards, Illustrati magazine, Pantone Gallery and CNBC’s top beer labels.
