MARK KLINK

My work usually evolves out of some kind of experiment with the technical possibilities of 3d files and forms. Any “meaning” emerges out of that exploration. Sometimes I have a notion of what that meaning might be, but often, though I am sure that it is there, it remains something mysterious. I’m sure that I am a visual artist because I have a distrust of words, and a sense of their inadequacy.

As to the nature of these technical explorations, I am often pushing against the intentions of the creators of the software I use .. I often deliberately “misuse” the software, stacking effects in seemingly nonsensical ways .. but the results can be beautiful and unexpected.
