Sara Franco lives and works in Lisbon (Portugal). Her painting consists on many different stratifications, on the material level or on its concept. Technically, we find overlapping surfaces: acrylic coats, spray, glue, enamel alternate bonding layers of paper, plastic and other different materials.
Thematically, the graphic universe appeals to the previous experience of each viewer who had a direct or indirect relationship with the idea of suburban massification and helpless marginality before the contemporary society. Continuing to explore the recurring themes of her last exhibitions such as science fiction and comics, she uses this scenario as a catapult to the existential or philosophical matters, accompanying ever since his work which is nothing but, in the one hand, introspection and in the other an emotional explosion.
These last years she showed her work in solo and collective exhibitions in Lisbon, Leiria, Caldas da Rainha, Viseu, Berlin, Setúbal, Lousã, Lagos and Athens, among others places.
