Lionheart is the alter ego of Daniel Duke, a digital artist and illustrator from Northern Ireland. When he’s not making art, he’s writing award-winning music for TV and film. 🦁 ♥️
I’ve been making digital art in various forms since 2007, and I’ve spent much of that time working as a professional graphic designer and illustrator. I’ve created artwork for films that have appeared on the BBC and written Photoshop tutorials for publications like Web Designer Magazine.
I started the Lionheart project in 2021 as a means of artistic exploration and escape and these are themes that permeate the work too – a lot of my art is surreal or scifi inspired so you’ll see lots of space, stars, and clouds mixed with mundane or everyday elements and landscapes.
I try to create scenes that look beautfiful and trigger an emotional response like a sense of adventure, nostalgia, romance, or joy. My art style varies from piece to piece but they’re all the result of digital photo collage and manipulation in Photoshop.
This is just the beginning of the Lionheart journey for me and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes.
