I’ve been juggling dual careers as a writer and illustrator for over twenty years. To me, cartooning and children’s books represent the perfect combination of those two disciplines. My kids’ book The Tantrum That Saved the World will be coming out in February 2022 with North Atlantic Books, distributed by Penguin Random House. In the meantime, I’m learning the art of the single-cell cartoons, which really are haiku-esque in their simplicity and complexity. I’m more than halfway through my second 100 Days of Cartoons project, published on my Instagram. Because I truly believe the best way to learn something is to commit to doing it daily.
