In my current practice I look at the relationship between collage and screen print. Through using layering techniques, mark making and assemblage, I explore how the history of the mark, or the layer can be held in one space.
Incorporating both two and three-dimensional space into my work, I attempt to bring a multitude of fractured processes into a whole, where each printed surface is deconstructed and transformed. My process is often informed by literature, film and political theory, I am particularly interested in archiving and drawing from narratives of tension, alienation and connection, to then develop a visual commentary of this research, through utilising and combining erratic marks with geometric layers and shapes to depict a contrast of balance and disorder in each composition.
