I am Ahmed Muntasir, also known as “Ragenfection”. I made my way to be a visual artist myself, based in St. Catherines. My belief is the way I feel about things is in fact the way how we can define life itself. which is why my work revolves around attempting to express the way of my expectations, imaginations, my desires and frustration. I always feel like I cannot explain my thoughts in words to other people, there is like a barrier and I have always felt an emptiness inside me about not being able to properly express myself or lack the skill of connecting with people. My work resembles my cries for help. The majority of my art is about freedom. I express the need of freedom through my artwork. Through visual art, I have found a way to connect with my work and I am learning ways to express my thoughts into my art.
The first person who influenced me to break into the world of visual art is Brooke Shaden, an American fine art photographer. what I found so fascinating about her work is that she portrays dark times as a beautiful moment and embraces it as it is. The majority of my inspiration comes from musicians like Olivia Rodrigo, Owl City and Imagine Dragons. Recently, my work has been publicly exhibited and I am always excited to see people interacting with my work because I get to know their interpretations about my work.
In next five years, I wish to see myself doing something I love which is creating art. Despite the unexpected events that might occur on the way, I always want to stick to visual art as my lifelong passion.
