Even though I’ve only been a photographer for a little over a year, I’ve always had a passion for art. As an introvert, I’ve always felt a very deep connection to it. I’ve never enjoyed loud and busy streets, or the feeling of living amongst strangers, but when I found street photography I found the beauty in that chaos. I found the great joy of observing the city, of trying to find its loners going about their day amid the urbanity that surrounds them.
This sample of images is born from that idea: the observation of urban solitude. It comes from the process of focusing through the disarray to find the quiet and unique moments of human existence. These images were taken during my most recent trip to the United States where I spent nearly two months documenting the city life of New York and Denver, and their assortment of different characters.
