I paint portraits in oils in the styles of social and imaginative realism that depict a dystopian, post-apocalyptic setting. This is what the near future will look like if the human race continues on our current trajectory towards climate change and nuclear war.
I get most of my inspiration from post-apocalyptic themed computer games and films. My subject matter is derived from photos that I take of South African people and landscapes, but are chosen to be of universal reference.
Throughout my 6 years of professional experience I have been a top 40 finalist in the Sanlam portrait award three times and had a solo exhibition at the Association for Visual Arts Gallery in 2019.
