Music has assumed an ever-present role in my art as of late. This cosmic goddess is using her musical talents to assimilate new stars and galaxies to the melodic rhythm of the songs she sings into the darkness of space.
In her lute there is a diagram of curved space time- a wormhole! Wormholes are theoretical passages through spacetime that could create shortcuts between the points of two parallel universes or two different points of the same Universe. Magical portals of transmutation is how I like to imagine the concept. The deeper you get into physics and differential equations the more often terms such as “exotic matter” and “phantom energy” begin to show up in papers written by people with far more mathematical knowledge than myself. I enjoy finding these magical words that contain so much unknown mystery within them placed alongside the rigidity of derivatives in the Cartesian plane. Science and magic, known and unknown, reality and imagination all accessible via a jump through a wormhole. What a lovely and enigmatic universe we have to explore.
