HALEY MANCHON

Haley’s work considers the kinds of thoughts that, when she’s alone, often pull her from reality into far off places. Her recent portrait drawings use superimposed imagery of compounded features and patterns to present a visual, literal cycling of these thoughts and moments. The effect is created by using one or multiple layers of dura-lar, which allows the marks of the drawing to delicately emerge and recede.

These works are often supported by the different processes she has developed over the years, including but not limited to digital manipulation, screen printing, projection, collage and mixed media, among others. The goal is to build an ongoing dialogue between analog and digital methods to create a visual language that she can call her own.
