Julia Rehme was born in 1982 in Osnabrück, Germany. After her graduation in design she further developed her artistic range and learned tattooing.
Nowadays Julia works with different media. Her works are created on paper and canvas but also on skin as abstract tattoos.
Julia’s artworks are characterized by an abstract expressionist imagery.
Her artistic expression represents an extension of verbal language on another level of communication.
Even though she is guided by her intuition in the painterly process, her serial works often pursue a specific theme.
Her artworks represent a moment out of infinity between the origin, destruction and decay.
This leads to energy-charged areas of tension, which dissolve again and extend beyond the edge of the painting into infinity. The elements of a microcosm merge into a symbiosis, before they divide again and sort later in the macrocosm.
With her works, Julia reflects on the laws governing nature and life’s magic.
