Alex Izaguirre a.k.a Mamút, is a Venezuelan born graphic artist based in Miami, FL. His passion for design is strongly linked to music, social justice and use of color. His influences range from graphic novels, rock & roll, patterns and traditional printing techniques.
After graduating from the Art Institute of Fort. Lauderdale as a Graphic Designer, he worked for several years as Art Director for companies such as Village Voice Media’s publication Miami New Times, Univision, and Spain’s advertising agency S.C.P.F.
His work can also be seen in a variety of organizations like Voto Latino, The California Endowment, and Listos California. He most recently won a Shorty’s award for design in a “Immigrants are Essential” campaign, and was selected as featured artist in Target®’s Latino Heritage Month campaign “Más que a Month” for 2021 and 2022.
