I am Anne-Mette Kelter, the photographer behind Kelter Photography. I am Danish but currently live by the foot of the Connemara Mountains outside of Galway on the Irish west coast.
When I was just 7 years old, my grandfather gave me my first camera and I have never stopped taking pictures. I am fortunate to work full time as an art photographer and 90% of my work is done using polaroid cameras. Primarily SX-70.
Looking through my work, I can see that I have two repeating themes: trees and nostalgic memories/storytelling through photography. The Polaroid duo chrome films are perfect for both. I aim for my work to have a simple, clean look. Again, Polaroid is, in my opinion, perfect for this.
Also, I very much like doing emulsion lifts. Some may have seen my series “Liquid Dresses”, where I use the emulsion to shape it so it looks like little dresses transferred onto watercolor paper.
