“Melanie Herskind (aka. Klaus) likes to draw and paint pretty much everything.
Her focus is on illustrative blackwork with a lot of details paired with expressionistic abstraction.
She draws inspiration from nature and music and strives for a dynamic composition across many different mediums, such as: pen and ink, watercolour, gouache, acrylic and coloured pencil.
Over the last two years she has focused on two themes: Flying Whales (whales with wings) and “Spacestry” (Space Pastry).
She has recently started experimenting with incorporating galactic backgrounds, to bind the subject(s) of the work together.”
