These paintings focus on the connection of predatory animals and their prey as a way to explore complex power systems. The relationship between predator and prey exists among the simplest to the most sophisticated life forms, all of which are part of an elaborate, mutually evolving dynamical system, systems we experience and navigate every day. These predatory relationships reflect the struggle for survival that plays out while revealing the uncertainty that, in a moment, will end either in evasion or demise. Sometimes we root for the predator, sometimes the prey.
