I source fabric from local thrift stores around me in southern Illinois. My work centers around the idea of vintage textiles as portals that transport us to different times and places. I want these paintings to allow you to step into a different world, to experience a sense of warmth and comfort that is often associated with home, and to connect with the memories and experiences of those who came before us.
