Born in the suburbs of Liège (Belgium), the fumes from the steelworks, the remains of the mines and the working-class atmosphere formed the universe of my childhood.
It was around the age of 14 that I took my first steps on the road to art,
Then painting arrived around the age of 30 and quickly became a need: to understand and explore oil in depth, to hone my compositions.
I see my painting as an obsession, a search for colour and expression, a concrete work with matter.
The subject is less important to me than the atmosphere and setting in which it is painted:
The sky, textures, questions, a certain vagueness that invites you to wander around the canvas.
To bring out the poetry in a dull reality.
