This series, Obscurus, was used as a way to experiment with glazes and vibrant colour, adding depth to the realism that I use in almost all of my work. In concept, I chose to cover all of the faces of my subjects, which has been an idea I had wanted to explore further, and to me makes the piece much more approachable and reflective for the audience.
