Felicity Gill is a UK born figurative artist and portrait painter. Her work features in both public and private collections.
My work has evolved from portraiture into an exploration of human emotion and connection. A central theme of my work is a fascination with reproducing the luminosity of skin in paint and I explore vulnerability by, for example, showing the tenderness in the touch of a hand on skin.
My intention is for the flow of the paint to lead the viewer’s eye around the painting until it settles on a feature which comes into focus, exploring and celebrating the beauty of the human form.
