I’m a self taught figurative oil painter and my work is deeply inspired by my journey through motherhood, which has changed and shaped every facet of my life. Raising small humans in this modern world that seems to change everyday means facing challenges that have never been faced before, a balancing act between our natural instincts and a world full of ever advancing technology. At our fingertips we have unlimited access to all the parenting advice in the world, and as it turns out, that’s not always super helpful. The definition of what a mother should be is a moving target and finding my own way to do things is what informs my paintings. Modern day motherhood is truly a surreal experience.
