I believe that artists are storytellers. I work primarily in watercolor to convey my uniquenarrative, deeply influenced by my cultural heritage, my travels around the world, literature, and an abiding love of nature. With a combination of loose flowing color and careful attentionto detail, my artwork transforms both the mysterious and familiar into something radiant andvisionary. I am passionate about color and hope the viewer can feel how much color can impactone’s mood. My watercolors are defined by a celebration of luminous color while blending thesurreal and magical with realism. I would describe my art as intuitive and expressive in nature. My recent female-focused figurative artwork dwells upon our need to explore the journeyswithin and beyond ourselves while highlighting the feminine perspective. By weaving natureinto the paintings, I let the colors speak of love, exuberance, joy, heartache, nostalgia, andmany unseen but heartfelt emotions.
