WAYNE CLOUGH

Cities and towns, over time, inevitably alter with the continuous re-shaping of new civic spaces and dwellings. This often engenders idealised notions of belonging whilst invariably contributing to collective memory.

My topographical paintings capture a moment in a town or city’s evolution and detail the architectural and ecological manifestations of these ever changing habitats. These studies also address themes of environmental protection, urban sprawl and nostalgia.
