Im an emerging self-taught oil painter from Kingston Canada, I paint expressive portraits and landscapes both from photo and out in the field. The driving force in each of my paintings for me is to lay down loose brush work and create texture in a way that captures a certain energy, mood and atmosphere. I aim to learn and grow on the path of painting as I would naturally rather than painting like someone else so that my work is always uniquley me. My ultimate goal is to be authentically myself in my work as much as possible right down to each brushstroke and creative decision during the process.
