Jimmi Kikkenborg is a Danish photographer who primarily works with portrait photography, but also makes various photographic art series, often of very minimalistic nature.

After a deep personal crisis in 2019, he decided that analog photography should form the future framework for his photographic artworks as a personal contrast to the fleeting digital society. He needed a platform of silence around his photographic activities that left him room for a greater presence in the process and the analog expression on film also fits very well with the moods he is trying to create in his pictures. Jimmi also does a lot of creative work in the darkroom where his analog pictures comes to live. 

The series, A West Coast Mile, is an ongoing minimalistic project shot at various locations along the west coast of Jutland. The focus is often on simple but somehow expressive objects that appear isolated but still surrounded by an empty and often colorful space.
