As a first generation Albanian-American, decorative and functional textiles have always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded by crocheted doilies, embroidered tablecloths, and cross-stitched artwork, all handmade by my mother, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. I blend my ancestral craft with my love for creative, emotional expression. My embroidery is a physical representation of my navigation through life: the highs, the heartache, and everything in between.
