My paintings and murals are composed of multiple layers of oil paint, spray paint and
screenprints. The compositions riff back and forth between 2D and 3D, paint and print,
figuration and abstraction. Imagery and motifs within each painting appear to shift and
mutate in front of the viewer, producing the illusion of movement and serving as a
metaphor for the transitory nature of contemporary visual culture.

The public artworks I create tell interwoven stories about people, places and
communities and often depict aspirational figures from writers and musicians to artists,
athletes and activists. They’re situated in unexpected places like retail districts, gyms,
sports stadiums and skateparks, so people can experience the benefits of art outside of
the gallery context.

collaboration with Photographer Jack Stan.

My works on canvas tend to be much more personal, exploring themes such as sex,
nature and the human condition. They are very visceral with bold expanses of colour,
spontaneous fluid marks and freestyle screenprints.
