I think my goal with my art this year has been to further remove myself from being a perfectionist. In letting go, and allowing myself the freedom to do looser line-work, and messier paintings, I have found a balanced art style that frees me up to express myself more fully than I was previously able to. I stopped using pencil outlines for most of my work, and I go in directly with ink. This bolder approach forces me to be “in the moment” with my art, and make more creative decisions when it comes to tackling certain scenes. I’m also discovering that less is more when it comes to my color mixing, and saturation. It’s been a great year for art so far, and I can’t wait to see what new developments await me in the future! As always, I am incredibly grateful for each and every person that takes the time to view my art. It’s more support than I could’ve ever dreamed of, so thank you!
