My paintings serve as diary entries – cataloguing the self, the internal landscape, and the presences of those who surround me. Representation serves as a tool to explore larger ideas, acting as a point of departure to delve into the spiritual unseen. Light and color lend themselves to exploring the otherworldly. Desire, self-actualization, anxiety, femininity, dream logic, resistance, pain, queerness, and the invisible threads that connect us to one another run through my work. Stories and sensations, pulled from the well of my lived experience, metamorphose into a visual world that captures quiet yet tense moments of emotional liminality.
