Though it is ever evolving, my work is consistently about identity,
form, and experimenting with new mediums. The imagery I produce is a
dialogue about conflicting ideas that exist within the same plane.
Visually, I produce a portrait of an individual where their face is
incomplete or omitted all together, yet the audience is able to grasp
the essence of this person despite the lack of key elements.
Metaphorically, my works talk about contradictory roles that we have
within ourselves, particularly with women. Femininity is both soft and
strong, sensuality can empower or subjugate, and vulnerability can be
courageous or cowardly. My pieces also express the dynamics of
relationships, specifically submitting yourself with another while still
trying to maintain your own sense of self.
