I’m always interested in learning about how photographers are redefining the way they see the world, and Jutharat Pinyodoonychet‘s images are a great example of this!
“Bangkok is not a good place for photography.”
I’ve heard that since I started taking photos.
Back then, I agreed. All the messiness, all the chaos, I believed Bangkok can never be beautiful. So in 2016, I went to New York City, the capital of photography, as people said.
In 2018, Two years goes by, I came back to Bangkok city. With the eyes of outsider, I see my hometown in new perspective. I start seeing the little pretty things in the corner of Bangkok. There’re beauty hidden in the mess and even the mess itself. With camera, I celebrate its existence by shooting them. Then I realized, beauty is not a place. It’s the way of seeing.
