I’m a Finnish illustrator and artist. I mostly work with traditional tools such as graphite,
markers, inks and acrylics but in the past few years I’ve started to do quite a lot of digital work too.

I do nearly all of my paintings digitally and I usually colour my artwork in photoshop as well. I have a degree of visual artisan and I’ve studied classical art in Repin institute’s course, but mainly I’m self taught.

I’ve been fascinated with visual expression all my life and I think that in a way
pictures are a language of it’s own, and that language has huge place in modern society.
To me creating things is a must in life. I think that art is a perfect way to embrace the human experience, to turn something negative to positive, and to tap in to the undercurrent of life, as Robert Henry put it in his book ‘The Art Spirit’. “To me art is also a way (and maybe the only one) to go to a place where you can be completely free.”
