My reduction lino prints are largely about the place I live, on the north Aberdeenshire Coast, it’s fabric, nature and dramatic light. Some works move into a more abstracted ideas, influenced by the motifs I see every day and by my time in theatre design. I’m sure my pleaseure in the illustration and and printmaking of the first half of the last century permeates my pictures, with drawing as a core skill and a first love.
