“ I tend to always learn toward things that you can do on your own. Things that don’t cost much money or require depending on others to do. This started with drawing and painting which eventually lead to photography.
Living by the ocean growing up I fell In love with the ocean and It easily became one of my favourite things to photograph. Which then lead to learning how to surf when I wasn’t taking photos. Surfing easily became one of my favourite things to do. So I started taking photos of surf. You really can’t understand the culture of surfing unless you consume your everyday life with It. Then you can’t stop thinking about It.
The photographs here are small reminders of why I enjoy surfing and the culture. Its moments of solitude. No mater how big the crowd is you still feel alone with the ocean.
You can predict all you want but the ocean is always In charge. How you respond with the ocean makes for something beautiful. When your whole world revolves around It you will absolutely understand why It is so special. When everything aligns itself its really something unexplainable until you experience It or see It with your own eyes. Just wait to see where It takes you. “
