I as I have always done, found solace in nature as that is the driving force of my work. As I developed these paintings, I found myself listening to the landscape, looking out to sea and allowing nature to tell the story rather then my own personal interference or those funny voices inside all of our heads. I listened to the spirits and the other worldly forces that will revel themselves to anyone, if they are willing. I noticed the smallest of weed trying to grow up in-between concrete and the tops of trees billowing in a high wind. These works are more about the landscape trying to send us signals, guiding us and perhaps even sending divine intervention. It would be my hope that whom ever views and appreciates these few paintings I have completed, will be reminded of the very special and fragile connection we all have with the Land, the sea and each other.
